Mrs. Ida May Simms, 63 years old, succumbed at her home, two miles northwest of this city, at 5:30 P.M. Wednesday, following a stroke of paralysis she suffered twelve hours previous. Born Feb 10, 1873, five miles north of Crawfordsville, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Johnson Mahan, Mrs. Simms spent her entire life in Montgomery County. She was married to Louis Simms here in 1881. He preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Belle Trimble, at home; one son, A. B. Simms, Alamo; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Elmore, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Frances Aeres, Kokomo; one brother, Frank Mahan, north of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

One son, Louis, preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Proffitt and Sons funeral parlors. Rev. J.H. Wilson will be in charge and burial will be made at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may veiw the remains at the family residence until Saturday Noon.
